Campaign guidelines
Last updated [DATE]. Written to be read. If anything is unclear, write to us.
Draft. This page is being reviewed by our lawyer before reservations open. The substance won't change; the wording might.
Every campaign must have
- A working prototype, shown on video. No renders or drawings.
- A verified maker: real identity and address.
- An honest delivery month and a run size based on real capacity.
- The total price, including any shipping, shown before checkout.
Not allowed on Banega
- Any promise of financial return. The words invest, investor, stake, returns, profit share and equity may not appear anywhere, including reward names.
- Fake scarcity. “Only 5 left” and countdowns must be literally true.
- Hidden charges added at checkout.
- Guilt-trip wording on buttons or opt-outs.
- Someone else's characters or brands without a licence.
- Toys for children under 14 without BIS certification, and packaged food, until further notice.
During and after the campaign
- Post an update at least every 14 days until every order ships.
- Tell backers about delays before they have to ask.
- Refund backers promptly when a funded campaign can't be delivered.
These guidelines follow the Guidelines for Prevention and Regulation of Dark Patterns, 2023.
